"You shall not wear shatnez, wool and linen together"
(Devarim 22:11)
What is Shatnez?

Shatnez is a Hebrew acronym, which stands for combed, spun and woven. This describes the stages in processing fabric: combing the raw fibre, spinning fibres into a thread, and weaving the threads into cloth. The Torah mandates us not to wear wool and linen that have been spun together and the Jewish nation have been adhering to this since Sinai.
